Our services in focus

Initial Psychiatric Evaluation

An initial evaluation is performed, after which Dr. Sodaro will offer his professional opinion about your case.  With some complex clinical problems, several evaluation sessions may be required.  Dr. Sodaro will advise also if the case will be accepted into treatment.


Psychiatric Medical Practice

Psychiatric treatments require regular interventions.  Dr. Sodaro will advise as to the required frequency of sessions.

We accept patients on the Medicare plan. As a courtesy, we will also bill your secondary insurance provider directly. You will be asked to sign an Advanced Beneficiary Notice for services not covered under Medicare. You shall be responsible for non-covered services.



A payment will be collected at each visit. Out-of-pocket patients automatically qualify for special consideration in accordance with our financial assistance program. For your convenience, we also accept all major credit cards.

Located in beautiful Old Amityville Village near the southern end of Route 110.

Where to Find Us (Map)


We accept Aetna, Cigna, most Blue Cross plans, and most United Healthcare plans. 


We do not accept Medicaid, Medicare, or Workers Compensation.  Individuals pursuing any disability or personal injury claim are not accepted as patients. We do not accept any individuals taking chronic pain narcotics, or currently taking any other opiate drugs (e.g. Vicodin, Percocet, Oxycontin) or currently taking benzodiazepine medications (e.g. Xanax, Valium). We do not accept individuals with any suicidal tendencies or who have been arrested.

Mondays and Fridays (9AM to 4PM)

Tuesdays (9AM to 6PM)

Every other Saturday (10AM to 4PM)

Closed Wednesdays and Thursdays
