Edward Sodaro, M.D. is Board Certified in General Psychiatry. In addition, he is also Board Certified in four other fully recognized American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology psychiatric sub-specialties. Dr. Sodaro is extremely knowledgeable and maintains these five national board certifications with mandatory regular examinations, carefully reviewed assessments, and extensive continuing medical education.

Located in beautiful Wantagh next to the Wantagh Post Office just south of Jerusalem Avenue, in the Wantagh Professional Building.

New patients must be seen in the office between 10 AM and 3 PM on Monday, Tuesday or Friday.  After this in-person session and yearly office visits, patients may be seen at other times via telemedicine.

 

We use the Simple Practice system on the smartphone or iPad. A Simple Practice link is sent from the doctor's office to your smartphone at the time of the session.  Just click on the link. Nothing else is required and Simple Practice is easy to use.   

 

Insurances accepted: Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Health. We do not accept Medicaid, Medicare, or Workers Compensation. Private fee schedule available on request.

 

Individuals pursuing any disability or personal injury claim are not accepted as patients.

 

We do not accept into treatment any individual seeking/receiving chronic pain narcotic opiate drugs (e.g. Vicodin, Percocet, Oxycontin), narcotic maintenance drugs (e.g. Methadone, Suboxone), benzodiazepines (e.g. Xanax, Valium), or any ADHD or amphetamine drugs (e.g. Ritalin, Adderall).

 

We do not accept individuals with any suicidal tendencies or who have been arrested.  Individuals with aggressive, out of control, or dangerous behaviors are not accepted. We do not acccept individuals requiring hospitalization or with any type of legal problems.
